healthy living

10 Simple Ways to NEVER Get Sick Again

Here is a list of 10 practices that will help you stay away from hospitals, feel healthier and live longer:
1. See a Chiropractor
Effective chiropractic care: inhibits spinal degeneration, restores normal nerve supply, improves immunity, allows better sleep, prevents surgery, and slows the aging process. This is preventative lifestyle at its finest.
2. Laugh HARD
Laughing boosts immunity, strengthens the heart, and improves lung function among a myriad of other benefits! Making a habit of renting funny movies are good for your life.
3. Do Workouts
“Shaking up” your workout routine is a great way to stay healthy over the long-term.
4. Sleep at least 7 hours a night
Sleeping adequately reduces stress, lowers inflammation in the cells, and makes you more alert.
5. See an Acupuncturist
Acupuncture is an invaluable tool for long-term and sustainable health (And no, the needles are not bad at all)!
6. Meditate
Meditation is the practice of silencing the mind, and can increase your health and vitality beyond measure.
7. Perform Cardiovascular Exercise at least 4 times a week
Integrating at least 20 minutes of cardio workout a minimum of 4 times a week is a wonderful preventative measure to take. You can lower blood pressure, reduce cholesterol and decrease body fat by consistently getting the heart rate up!
8. Stretch
Stretching prevents injury by increasing the length of both your muscles and tendons.
9. Eat Organic Food
10. Be Wary of Medications
This is the only recommendation on this list that has a negative spin to it (where I suggest “not” do something) but I think it’s important to note the potential dangers of our pharmaceutical friendly society.

for teachers in the world

I want to be a teacher, you want to be a teacher, and we want to  be a teacher . . so, lets read it . ^_^
What makes a good teacher?
The Qualities and Characteristics of a Good Teacher
  • Good teachers treat their students with respect
  • Good teachers don't have double standards
  • Good teachers are honest
  • Good teachers give their students a lot of choice in their assignments
  • Good teachers have creative ways of presenting class
  • Good teachers get to know their students individually
  • Good teachers stand up for their students
  • Good teachers let students listen to music (with headphones on!)
  • Good teachers don't give much or any homework
How to gain the respect of your students & make classes interesting
·         Try to get to know your students individually. Get to know what they like/dislike, their ideas and needs.

·         Be honest with your students. Especially when they ask things like "When will I ever use this in real life?". One thing a lot of kids hate is when teachers tell them that it's important to know things like the formula for a parabola. Most people will never use that knowledge again.

·         Grade things on time. Just as you would expect your students to hand projects in on time, you should set the example by being timely yourself. If you don't grade things on time, then be sure to give your students the same leeway as well.

tired

My Soul Is Tired
My Soul Is Tired

My soul is tired
Tired of the words never said
And the ones said but never heard.
My soul is tired
Tired of the wet tears
And the ones never shed.
My soul is tired
Tired of the truth
And the lies
Tired of life
And tired of death.
My soul is tired
Tired of looking into the past
Tired of what I see in the past
Tired of not being past… the past.
My soul is tired
Tired of sleeping but never sleeping
Tired of the dreams that wake me up
And tired of the fights that eat away at me each day
My soul is tired
Tired of being tired.
But I’m afraid if my soul sleeps
It won’t ever wake up.
